The incident took place around 12:15 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, when the Yorktown Police Department received a call from a resident of New Chalet Drive that he had been bitten by a dog, said the Yorktown Police.
When officers responded they were told by the resident that a brown-colored Beagle dog, owned by Tara Mann Felman, 39, of Yorktown, had bitten him when he walked outside of his home, police said.
Police applied for a criminal summons and Feldman voluntary appeared at police headquarters on Thursday, Nov. 7, and was charged with dog at large, a city code violation.
She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 21.
